Antonis Antonopoulos is a Senior Legal Officer at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory, in Heidelberg, Germany. In the past, he worked in the private sector, as a Judicial Fellow for the International Court of Justice, as a Legal Expert at the Max Planck Digital Library in Munich, and as a Research and Teaching Assistant at the School of Law of the University of Athens. He holds an LLB and an LLM from the University of Athens, as well as an LLM from the University of Virginia. His job focuses on privileges and immunities, relationship with national authorities and other international organisations, as well as data protection in international organisations. His main research interests are the law of the sea and international environmental law, with particular emphasis on the exploitation of offshore resources.
