We are very proud to announce the participation of Dr Maria-Louiza Deftou, Postdoctoral Researcher in the AthensPIL Project Migration and Asylum Policies - MAPS , in the MAPS Workshop  “European judges and migration” organised by the Université Lyon 3 Jean Moulin on 26 March 2021. Dr Deftou presented a paper titled "Exporting the Strasbourg’s Norms to Geneva: a tacit dialogue on migrants’ rights?". Her paper measures the extent to which the Human Rights Committee(HRC) has borrowed from the Strasbourg system regarding migrants’ rights and comparatively discusses the varying interpretations of human rights norms between the HRC and the ECtHR.
