The 2021 Paul Guggenheim Prize, endowed with an amount of CHF 15,000, is awarded by the Paul Guggenheim Foundation to a work of public international law (except European law) of outstanding importance and quality, which is the first major work of its author. Its objective is to provide encouragement to young specialists of public international law who are at the beginning of their careers. Works may be submitted to the jury either in the form of published books or of manuscripts destined for publication, written in English, French, German, Italian or Spanish. Works that have already been awarded a prize of a similar nature shall not be considered.

Le Prix Paul Guggenheim 2021, doté d’un montant de CHF 15’000, est destiné à récompenser un ouvrage sur un thème important de droit international public (à l’exception du droit européen). Cet ouvrage doit être de très haute qualité et provenir d’un jeune auteur en début de carrière. Il peut s’agir soit d’un ouvrage déjà publié, soit d’un manuscrit destiné à la publication, rédigé en anglais, français, allemand, italien ou espagnol. Ne sont pas recevables les ouvrages déjà couronnés par un prix de même nature.
