On Friday 7 March 2025, our very own Professor Linos-Alexander Sicilianos, former President of the European Court of Human Rights, Vice President of the Institute of International Law and member of the Curatorium of The Hague Academy of International Law, was an invited speaker on an Oxford Union panel entitled “Crimes of the Powerful: Should Head of State Immunity Be Abolished under International Law?”.

His co-panelist was Professor Diane Marie Amann of the University of Georgia School of Law and the moderator was Israr Khan, President of the The Oxford Union, a world-renowned debating society with a tradition of hosting internationally prominent individuals across politics, academia, and popular culture.
