CONFERENCE ON THE OCCASION OF THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY OF GREECE’S RATIFICATION OF THE EUROPEAN CONVENTION ON HUMAN RIGHTS

Conference on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Greece’s ratification of the European Convention on Human Rights

The two-day conference, co-organized by the School of Law of the National & Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of Greece’s ratification of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR), was successfully concluded on Friday, December 13th, with a large attendance throughout its duration.

More than forty academics, senior judges, international experts and practitioners analysed the historical, philosophical and sociological origins of the ECHR and highlighted its interactions with civil law, civil procedure, labour law, commercial law, public law, criminal law and penal law, as well as European Union law and international law, both private and public.
