Book launch: Interactions of the ECHR with the various branches of law

On 4 November 2025, at the Goethe Institute in Athens, the presentation of the proceedings volume of the conference “Interactions of the ECHR with the various branches of law” took place with great success. The conference was organised by the Faculty of Law of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (NKUA) in cooperation with the Marangopoulos Foundation for Human Rights (MFHR).

The volume, edited by Professor Linos-Alexander Sicilianos, Faculty member of AthensPIL and President of the MFHR, brings together leading perspectives on the enduring role of the European Convention on Human Rights as a cornerstone of the rule of law. It explores the Convention’s multifaceted influence across diverse branches of law, from private and criminal law to public, international and EU law.

The event underscored the ECHR’s continuing relevance in safeguarding human dignity and shaping a fairer and more just legal order.
